Site Assessment

We assess slope, soil conditions, drainage patterns, and load requirements before recommending a wall type, height, and footer depth.

Excavation & Footer

We excavate to below frost line, set forms for the footer, and pour reinforced concrete. The footer has to cure before the wall goes up.

Wall Pour & Finish

Forms go up, rebar is tied and placed, then we pour the wall. Weep holes are set during forming. Finish options applied before the forms strip.

Backfill & Drainage

Gravel backfill packed in layers to prevent settlement. Site graded clean. We walk you through curing time and what to expect long-term.

Poured concrete retaining walls typically run $50–$125 per linear foot depending on height, site conditions, and finish. Taller walls, difficult access, or decorative finishes are on the higher end. In most jurisdictions, walls under 4 feet (measured from the bottom of the footer) don't require a structural engineer's stamp. Over 4 feet typically requires engineering plans and a permit. We'll tell you upfront whether your project falls into permit territory and what that process looks like.
